Register Of Merit
The Register of Merit Program (ROM) allows breeders and owners to permanently honor the Top Producers of our breed.
Owners with dogs earning a designation through the Register of Merit Program may add that designation to their dog’s registered name for advertising and pedigree research purposes.
Since the Register of Merit Program is a recognition of top producing dogs, owners need not be DCA members.
Only dogs whose qualifications have been validated through the Register of Merit Program application process may use a ROM designation for their dogs in pedigrees or advertising (print, website, social media.)
Procedure
Review the Merit Level Requirements to determine which level your candidate has fulfilled.
Complete the ROM application in full. All Quantitative and Qualitative information must be verified from AKC records before a Certificate is issued. Ann Wlodkowski and Joyce Warren are responsible for verification research.
